New Look, New Focus

It has been literally forever since I have blogged. Life has been busy, and yet it hasn't. I am working for a new family, learning new hobbies, and slowly about to enter the world of the thirties.

I decided the blog needed some changes. I am no longer planning a wedding, so my focus will now be on life after the vows. You can look forward to crafting, recipes, funny things I can't believe my husband says, and my journey to bettering myself before thirty.

When I was younger, thirty seemed so old. Now that I am almost there it doesn't seem so old anymore. Eighty, now eighty seems old. I am not going to lie, I don't want to turn thirty just yet. I feel like I haven't accomplished enough. Sometimes I feel like my life isn't where I thought it would be at this age, but I am happy with how my life has turned out so far. Thirty still scares me though. Daniel turned thirty and it was just another day to him. I hope I can have that mentality when it happens for me. Any good advice on turning thirty?

Praying over our rings

First kiss

Daniel and I decided to write our own vows. I poured my heart out to him over rehearsed, but written down vows. Daniel of course had it all in his head. If you were not there to share our special day with us I will share our vows with you!

Caitlin to Daniel:

Daniel,
From the very first time we met, I knew you were the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. You are my best friend, my love, my everything. I promise that you will always have my deepest love, my fullest devotion, and my most tender care. I promise to love you, to always strive to inspire and encourage you, to laugh with you, and to comfort you in times of sorrow and struggle. I promise to love you in good times and bad, when life seems easy and when times are difficult, when our love is simple, and when things become complicated. I promise to honor you, and to always hold our love for each other above everything else. These things I promise to you today, and all of our days until we are 103. I love you more today than yesterday, and I will love you even more tomorrow.

Daniel to Caitlin:

Caitlin,
From the very first day we met, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. Thank you for putting up with me, letting me play xbox all night, and race remote control cars. I love you now and until we are 103.

#3 - Karaoke

#2 - Best Man Speech

Steven gave THE BEST best man speech I have ever heard!

It was full of hilarity!

And wonderful stories of when Daniel and Steven were growing up

I almost lost it!
